SME Europe Board Meeting, 24 October 2024

On 24 October 2024, SME Europe held a Board meeting at the European Parliament in Strasbourg.

President Jörgen Warborn provided updates on SME Circle leadership and highlighted plans for the upcoming events. Horst Heitz, Secretary General and Treasurer, presented a brief overview of recent activities, emphasizing the Meeting of the Working Group on Defence. Riho Terras MEP, reported on the outcomes of the Working Group on Defence, while Iuliu Winkler MEP led a discussion on recent European Parliament votes concerning the De-Foresting Regulation.

In closing, the Secretary General provided an introduction to the SME landscape in Brussels for new members, along with a discussion on the potential roles and activities of the SME Intergroup.
