Jörgen Warborn has been elected
President of SME Europe

On Tuesday, 3 September 2024, Jörgen Warborn has been elected President of SME Europe.

Warborn, Member of the European Parliament and previously Vice President of SME Europe, emphasises his commitment to reduce bureaucratic burdens and increase competitiveness: “SMEs are the backbone of our economy. My focus will be on creating a more supportive environment by cutting red tape and advocating for measures that enhance their global competitiveness—for a rich and thriving Europe.”

Warborn’s leadership comes at a pivotal time, as SMEs face challenges such as evolving regulatory landscapes, global conflicts, the green transition, and the increasing pace of technological change. Under his guidance, SME Europe is poised to continue its crucial work of empowering SMEs and driving growth across Europe.
